Central Market is decorating gingerbread houses from 11am to 3pm this Saturday, December 9th. You buy the gingerbread kits and they supply other embellishments. The fun happens outside so dress warmly. It is going to be a cold day. For more info, check it out on Facebook.
At the event, the store is sampling festival holiday food from vendors like Bruce Gore, Marie’s Cheeseballs and Confectionately Yours. Sounds like a fun, festive activity for the kiddos.
I’m not sure how much they are selling their gingerbread house kits for, but Costco has a kit for $10. Food Lover Girl has an article that goes into detail about the Costco kit. Check it out here. I love her article because she has detailed pictures of everything that comes with the kits. Here is my daughter assembling Costco’s gingerbread house with all the candy and frosting included in the box. She loved it. We had a no eating policy because it would be sitting on display for a couple of weeks before Christmas. Not sure if the gingerbread is still edible.
Check back on Saturday for my full review of the Central Market event.
